about us
Well, where do we begin…
What is Fisher Gate Point?
Fisher Gate Point is that building on the corner that always has interesting artwork in the windows. It’s been Nottingham’s best kept secret, until now…
We have officially opened our doors to the public so everyone can come and enjoy our cafe bar, gig venue, artisan shop and the dozens of creative projects that go down in our music studios and workshop spaces.

We don’t play by the rules. Culture is our priority, and we pledge to always support the grassroots. You don’t need to be established or refined to get involved here.
Our History
Fisher Gate Point is the brain child of Tricia and Ian Gardiner who are both founding Directors. The idea was built on community ownership as a means to uplift Nottingham’s creative and cultural grassroots.
Our team got the keys to the building right before the first UK lockdown in 2020, with nothing but a bag of hopes and a set of faulty speakers. With our extensive creative network and years of cultural experience, we have fought through thick and thin, using every resource possible to see this project through.
Over the last 5 years we’ve organically become a significant heartbeat in Nottingham’s creative sector, and are now the beloved home to many cultural leaders and young collectives.
We’ve also just had quite the refurb and we couldn’t be more proud to welcome you into our home! We hope you’ll stick around.
